The Gospel of Salvation
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you certain you are going to heaven?

Many people think they are going to heaven because they are good. However, Jesus himself refers in Matthew 19:17 that God is the only one good. In Romans 3:23 (MKJV) it says:

"for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"

One may say that they are sincere, and that God will accept them because they are sincere. Was Hitler sincere? I think he was (but it didn't save him-if he was saved at all). You see, our understanding of right and wrong may be different from each other. Is God's standard going to change from one person to the next, because of sincerity? Let me quote Proverbs 14:12 (MKJV):

"There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death."

A person may then claim some great work, or multiple good works, or even church attendance to achieve eternal life. However the scripture is plain on this issue.

Ephesians 2: MKJV
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Titus 3: MKJV
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us...

In fact, repenting from dead works is the first Foundational Principle of Christ, in Hebrews 6:1. Read Hebrews 5:12 through Hebrews 6:3.

Dead works is, and not limited to: believing and/or doing some work to achieve eternal life.

We must remember, that down in the center of our self we are not good and that our standard of goodness isn't the same as the guy next door, let alone God.

I discuss why we need Jesus for salvation in more detail here:

Why do we need God or Jesus?

We all must turn away from the idea of pleasing God by doing traditions or rituals of men. However, some of these things can be God's will, but they alone don't get you salvation, nor mixed with anything other than God's way. I'll quote Jesus in Mark 7:13: (NKJV)

13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do."

Another wrong thought or belief of having eternal life is that one may be saved because of their heritage or parents. (I am saved because my parents are saved or I am saved because my Grandpa was a minister.)

John 1: NKJV
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Where's the Good News? The good news is this:

John 14: MKJV
6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

John 10: MKJV
1 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter into the sheepfold by the door, but going up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber.
7 ... I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved...

It is simple to be saved, because Jesus did the work, we don't have to. Please don't let this simplicity keep you from eternal life.

2 Cor 11: MKJV
3 But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the simplicity due to Christ.

He did it! This is the faith. Will you trust Him at His word? If He say's it's simple to be saved, will you believe Him?

Perhaps you think you are unworthy. Perhaps you believe your sin was too bad. Paul was an enemy of the church. He persecuted christians and even accepted their deaths. Yet Jesus met Paul and saved him. God used this man who hated the church to write half of the New Testament. Have you done worse than Paul? Have you persecuted the church to death of a believer? If you have or have not, it doesn't matter, Jesus died for all sins. If you don't believe He died for your sins you are calling God a liar:

1 John 5: ALT
5:10  The one believing [or, trusting] in the Son of God has such testimony in him; the one not believing God, has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son.

Numbers 23: MKJV
19 God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

Here is the way of salvation:

John 3: MKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 10: MKJV
9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

If you want to go to heaven and be saved all you need to do is to pray and speak the following and believe it in your heart:

"Dear Jesus, I confess and accept you as my Saviour. I believe that you died for my sins. I also believe that God raised you from the dead. Therefore, I believe, I am now saved through faith in what you have done. Lord, I pray this in Your holy name. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer or received Jesus as your Savior through these pages, if you need help in your life, or even if you have any questions please feel free to email me (email address is found at the bottom of the page).

What do you need to do now? 3 important first things:

1. Read the Bible

2. Pray as much as possible every day

3. Try to find a church that believes in the whole Bible, believes in the practice of the whole New Testament, believes in the Biblical baptism of the Holy Spirit in a balanced view (no wacky stuff nor denying it's existence). Go to church regularly-be led by the Spirit to find this. Stay away from: Mormons-the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jehovah Witnesses, and the Church of Christian Scientists. Also stay away from churches that do not believe Jesus is God. These are cults or occults.

Did you pray that prayer? If so, welcome to the family! If you prayed that prayer and believed it, your spirit is now saved.  Please note, basic salvation will save you from hell and the Lake of Fire, but it won't save you from the Tribulation, nor will it give you access to the great heavenly city New Jerusalem. Yes, it guarantees heaven, but not a place in the city of heaven. To learn more about gaining escape from the Great Tribulation click on the link below:

Perhaps you have heard some preach or you simply believe that everyone will go to heaven. I discuss this in more detail here:
